For the second consecutive year, I am honored to offer a new Advent-oriented song for #AdventUnwrapped, commissioned by The United Church of Canada in partnership with The United Church of Christ. This offering, titled “Memory,” speaks of hope from remembering, God’s abiding presence, and the promise that God is doing a new thing.

When I transitioned into full-time ministry from a career in performing arts, I angrily asked God why God would want me to abandon my gifts for this new thing God has called me to. Time and time again, the Source of Life and Womb of Creation has reminded me that nothing is wasted.

Special Thanks To

Jeff Gruber, sound engineer and videographer; Patrick-James Boyd, video production; Rev. Dr. Alydia Smith (Program Coordinator, Worship, Music and Spirituality, United Church of Canada; Rev. Dr. Cheryl Lindsay (Minister for Worship & Theology, United Church of Christ).
